I wanted to personally thank you for the conversation yesterday surrounding the accounting of my business. Needless to say, you were able to bring to light some missing pieces (cash flow) that could/will cause us unnecessary breakdowns in the future. Your offer of help in regards to the structure around our new software programs (Mass 200) will be invaluable to the continued success of the company. Again, THANK YOU for your wisdom and background of knowledge.
I also want to share with you an observation from a purely consumer standpoint. You were able to convey your observations in a peaceful, personal and caring way. There wasn't any judgment, just sincerity in the help that you were providing. This was VERY comforting, as with most business owners, "the Business" is our creation (good or bad) and there can be a very personal connection between your observations and our identity. My assessment was that you were able to convey your interpretations in a palatable format, explain your concerns that "I" could understand (most of us are not CPA's) and bring to light the future possible breakdowns that could thwart the business if not arrested. All this information and observation can be a bit of an uncomfortable situation, especially if the business is in trouble and futures are at risk.
Grant, whether it is your years of competency, personal background, Aji, maturity or exposure to others who care, your delivery was your most powerful asset. I cannot express to you enough, the value of the mood that you were able to create for me at the meeting. I could tell that you were generally concerned about what you were assessing, in a way that can produce opportunities for change for our company. This is the point, the ultimate outcome...change for a failing business. Please understand that I am not discounting the accounting information or matrix sheets that you were able to develop, it was just your "Bed-Side Manner" that makes your offer uncommon, unique and seductive in the marketplace.
